Air Abrasion
Air abrasion is a process that "sandblasts" the tooth to rapidly remove tooth decay. Compared to a traditional drill, air abrasion's advantages include reductions in noise, vibrations, and requires no anesthesia. Air abrasion cannot always substitute for the dental drill as size and location of the decay determines this.
